HERE'S A COLLECTION TO JOG THE MEMORIES

These are some old photographs for the wrinklies.
These will bring back memories for a lot of the older generation,
some good some not so good

IN MEMORY OF CATHERINE COOKSON

This is a fine shot of Tyne Dock Arches the scene for many of the authors books.

CHI "ROUNDABOUT"

A good shot showing a mixture of motorised and horse drawn transport

SOUTH FREDERICK STREET

Number 3 Trolley Bus to Tyne Dock

GROYNE CARAVAN SITE

Fine harbour view from around the 50's, some really modern looking caravans there. You would need to be a hardy soul to spend a holiday in a caravan there and yet it used to get crowded.

TROLLEY BUS AT WESTOE

Who remembers the the Warwick Motor School? With the first Triumph Herald with two steering wheels, one for the pupil and one for the instructor. They also had a dual control Lambretta scooter. The rear handlebars on the scooter were only for holding on, they didn't steer of course, but they did have the dual controls.

WHERE DID THEY COME FROM

Here a pair of real oldies, mind she doesn't look too bad does she? She's worn pretty well

OCEAN ROAD IN WINTER

This picture must jog some memories, what about that Austin A35, (the Baby Austin), I remember travelling down from Jarrow late every Saturday night in one of those, there was no heater and your breath used to turn to ice on the inside of the windscreen. How about that Hillman Husky. that's a fine shot of the Economic bus in the background.
